Are you a sub contractor?
Once you have confirmed that you are a sub contractor rather than an employee, your up and running
You will have paid your tax up front at 20%, and need to get your tax return done quickly in order to get any tax refunded to you.
My strong advice is to keep all your paper work
Payslip, Statement of Payment from your Contractor, Receipts from items such as Vehicle expenses, work clothes and tools. If your not sure keep it, and you can’t go wrong.
Get yourself a good bookkeeper rather than an accountant. Many of you think the return has to done by an accountant , but that is not the case. You just need to let HMRC know that he has your authorisation to work with them on your behalf. This can be easily obtained on line by your bookkeeper.
Good Luck
